BRIEF
East Midlands Development Agency were looking to develop a large network of senior level business volunteers, as a method of securing business involvement in public sector economic strategy to support the economic development of the region.
STRATEGY
It was fundamental to develop a strategy that was founded on research-based intelligence, which elicited the support of a huge range of diverse stakeholders, from business support through to academia. In addition to devising a strategy based on a partnership model, activity spanned branding, all marketing and communications – including media relations, event development, newsletters, e-bulletins, exhibition materials, corporate literature, annual reports, web sites and case histories.
OUTPUTS
500 senior level business volunteers and over £1m of time pledged each year. Over 2000 public, NGO, charitable and business intermediaries committed.
BIG WINS
This £1.3m project was recognised as an “exemplar initiative” under the Independent Performance Assessment (IPA) framework.
