A communications strategy to drive the Society’s activities, including the annual County Show and the EPIC Building – a leading-edge national conferencing centre and major example of sustainable building techniques in action.
A multi pronged approach,. For the annual County Show, a strategic and focused media relations campaign driving up awareness and significantly increasing visitor numbers. combined with major logistical exercise of managing media in the run up to the Show and for the duration of the event, involving over 200 media. Managing the media centre during the Show and ensuring interview opportunities were maximised and any crises mitigated by arranging interviews with relevant broadcasting and daily press. In the run up to the Show all relevant personnel were given media training to help them deal with the media. For the Conferencing Centre, a campaign directed at regional business users of exhibition and conferencing facilities and nationally through key trade media.
